Students at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School began the month of May by crowning a statue of our Blessed Mother at the start of our weekly liturgy on Wednesday, May 6. The youngest in Junior Kindergarten led the student body, many of whom had brought flowers for Mary that morning. The 8th graders formed an "honor guard of roses," which they delivered in front of Mary's statue. 8th graders Isabella Vantley and Stevan Salinas were chosen to crown Mary and serve as her escort, respectively. As a school dedicated to Our Lady of Grace, nothing is more fitting than to render honor to Mary and pray that She leads us closer to her Son.
